MOKOMA: 'Hei Hei Heinäkuu' Video Released

June 21, 2010

"Hei Hei Heinäkuu", the new video from Finnish thrash metallers MOKOMA, can be viewed below. The song comes off the band's seventh full-length album, "Sydänjuuret", which was released in March. The CD debuted at position No. 1 on the official Finnish chart and was certified gold within the first week of its release. The bandmembers were presented with their gold-album plaques for "Sydänjuuret" on Friday (June 18) at the Provinssirock festival in Finland.

"Sydänjuuret" was recorded at Sound Supreme studio in Hämeenlinna and was produced by Janne Saksa.

Formed in 1996, MOKOMA describes its music as a mixture of late '80s/early '90s thrash and death metal influences and melancholy elements from traditional Finnish music.

After releasing its first two albums through EMI, MOKOMA in 2003 founded its own record company, Sakara Records, which has served as the band's label home ever since.

MOKOMA is:

Marko Annala - Vocals
Tuomo Saikkonen - Guitar, Vocals
Janne Hyrkäs - Drums
Santtu Hämäläinen - Bass
Kuisma Aalto - Guitar, Vocals
